Hunger Banquet

1. I think it is unfair that the world is divided the way it is. Some poor people work much harder than rich people yet they are still in poverty, this is because that majority of human beings have an unfair biased thoughts towards poor people: Poor people cannot do anything, they are worthless. Having a disadvantage of the title "poor" is a very unfair factor for the poor people.

2/3. I think that the people who got a bigger meal should help the others. However, they shouldn't help in a way such that it satisfies a certain desire to the poor people, for example, giving out food. I believe that they should help the poor learn the way to get out of poverty because that way, the poor will be able to help themselves in the future with out other help.

4. Some people in the low income group could be there because they don't work hard and gave up hope to alleviating their situation. However, there are also some people who do work hard but are still in that group. Some of these people might be there because they lack skills/edcuation and some of them might have all the skills but don't have access to ways to escape poverty (jobs, employment, etc.) because of the occupation/title "poor".

5. When we buy too much-more than enough amount of a certain resource (rice for example), the scarcity of that particualr will increase and so will the price. This unbalances the distribution of that resource to poor people thus they will not be able to afford it because of the increased price.

6. We could raise money from fund raisers at school and donate it to the World Food Programme. It will take the money we collected and either buy sacks of rice and donate it to the people in need or put it in to promoting projects, for example: Food assests project of WFP.
